What Our Techs Say
"BUSINESS IS GOOD. LIFE IS BETTER."
How's that for a confident town motto? And read below - you'll see that it's backed up by one of the region's richest array of services, happenings, amenities and support.
The history of the town of Londonderry dates from 1718 when a group of Irish immigrants decided the area, then called Nutfield, would be a good site for a community. Four years later, the Nutfield area was incorporated as a township and renamed Londonderry after the city in Ireland from which most of the settlers had come.
Business is good.
Several well-known companies, including UPS, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Fed-Ex, Milton CAT, and Harvey Windows call Londonderry home; thousands of other businesses, small, medium and large, give employment to the region's residents and contribute to the area's continuing growth. Londonderry is strategically located, with easy access to routes I93, and 3, and the Boston-Manchester Regional Airport makes it very convenient to fly to and from the city.
Life is better.
Londonderry has playgrounds, tennis courts, athletic fields and sports teams for all ages. There are 27 public and private golf courses in the area. The town also has an extensive conservation area with hiking trails, and last but not least, an excellent public school system. From Londonderry you are less than an hour from all the outdoor adventures that New Hampshire has to offer; only a few minutes from the city of Manchester and forty minutes from Boston, but in the midst of all the activity, Londonderry still offers its 11,000 residents the option of a quiet rural lifestyle firmly rooted in a rich agricultural past.
